Mina Said-Allsopp

Mina is:

Foraging and wild produce expert.

Mina's Story:

Mina started running Foraging Walks & Courses in 2007, while completing her PhD at Leeds University.  Since then she has taught several hundred people from all over the country to forage!

Mina believes that knowing more about our food and getting closer to nature is the key to leading a healthier, more sustainable life.  She will also tell you that since she started foraging she has been more in tune with the world around her than ever before.  If you have ever seen those TV chefs cook up a glorious feast full of exotic ingredients like wild watercress or rock samphire, or just gone for a walk and thought to yourself ‘I wonder if I could eat that?’ then you’ve come to the right person in Mina.  Her website is growing into an extensive resource for everyone to use, full of foraging ideas, recipes and tips.  Mina has also set up a Facebook group called “Forage & Feast, Wild Food Cooking and Preserving” where she shares all the delicious things she makes with her foraged finds - with new recipes going up almost on a daily basis!
